The Living Capsule

2024

The Living Capsule challenges spatial understanding and functionality by designing a home for a specific client within the constraint of using three equal modular volumes.

The approach to this project centered on creating a well-functioning and thoughtfully designed space. While the overall concept embraces minimalism, every detail and corner of the interior was carefully considered to achieve a cohesive and refined result.

Light played a key role in shaping the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, guiding the atmosphere and spatial experience.

The project serves as an exploration of efficiency and practicality in spatial and interior design, while also examining the harmony between people and nature.

It reflects a design philosophy rooted in functionality and clarity, and highlights model making and the use of photography as a medium for communication and storytelling.

Guided by a commitment to sustainability and a concept rooted in connection to nature, the design integrates proposals of thoughtful technical features such as solar panels on the exterior façades and a rainwater harvesting system to supply the outdoor shower.
